Acceptable use of the platform

This policy sets out how the platform and the materials supplied through it may be used, what is prohibited, and the consequences of breach. It applies to every user, whether or not a purchase has been made.

Scope

Who and what this policy covers.

This policy applies to your use of stellarcatalystuk.co.uk, nthrys.co.uk and its associated domains, and to any material supplied to you in connection with a service. It forms part of the terms and conditions; by using the platform you accept it.

Permitted use

What you may do.

You may use the platform to browse the catalogue, purchase services, access material you have purchased, communicate with us, and manage your account.

Material supplied to you may be used for your own study, research or internal business purposes. Where a deliverable has been prepared specifically for you, its use is governed by the intellectual property provisions of the terms and conditions.

Prohibited use

What you must not do.

In relation to material

  • Reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, licence or otherwise make available any material to a third party without our written consent.
  • Share account credentials, or permit another person to access material through your account.
  • Remove, obscure or alter any proprietary notice contained in material supplied.
  • Use material to create a competing product or service.

In relation to the platform

  • Access or attempt to access any part of the platform you are not authorised to access.
  • Introduce malicious code, or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the platform.
  • Conduct any automated extraction, scraping or bulk downloading without our written consent.
  • Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the platform, or circumvent any security or authentication measure.
  • Impose an unreasonable load on the infrastructure through any means.

In relation to conduct

  • Provide false information when registering or ordering, or impersonate another person.
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any applicable regulation.
  • Submit material that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, discriminatory or otherwise unlawful.
  • Behave abusively towards our personnel or other participants, whether in sessions, correspondence or otherwise.

Academic conduct

Our services support your work; they do not replace it. Materials, guidance and deliverables are provided to assist your study and research. You are responsible for complying with the academic integrity requirements of your institution, and for ensuring that any use you make of material supplied is permitted by those requirements.

We do not warrant that use of any material will be acceptable to a particular institution or examiner, and we accept no responsibility for the consequences of a use that breaches an institution's rules.

Breach

Consequences and reporting.

Where we consider that this policy has been breached, we may take any of the following steps, according to the seriousness of the breach: issue a warning; withdraw the right to use the platform; suspend or terminate your account; suspend or terminate a contract under which services are supplied; take legal proceedings for reimbursement of costs; and disclose information to law enforcement where we consider it necessary.

The steps described are not exhaustive and we may take any other action we reasonably consider appropriate. Where an account is terminated for breach, sums paid for services not yet performed are refunded, less any charge properly due.

To report a suspected breach by another user, or a security vulnerability, write to info@stellarcatalystuk.co.uk. Please do not test a suspected vulnerability against live systems.
